Jodie Solomon
Co-Owner / Coach
Coach, performer, and proud owner of RISE Aerial, Jodie helps students of all ages achieve amazing feats in a supportive, inclusive, and energetic setting.
Jodie began her athletic journey in artistic gymnastics at just two years old. After graduating, she moved to Alberta and trained with the Burman Acronaires for four years. She began coaching gymnastics at age 14 and later went on to manage and coach the Junior Acronaires program.
Following her acrobatic gymnastics career, Jodie discovered aerial arts, falling in love with its unique blend of acrobatics and gymnastics. As a professional performer, she has taken the stage all over Central Alberta and internationally, including the Netherlands. Today, Jodie is deeply passionate about helping her students perform and loves creating routines that bring their goals to life.
Sarah Henry
Coach
Gymnast, coach, and aerialist, Sarah prides herself on making her students feel strong and capable as they take to the air.
Sarah began gymnastics at just two years old. After graduating, she moved to Alberta, where she joined the Burman Acroanires team and performed with them for many years. During this time, she also coached the Junior Acronaires program and fell in love with aerial silks.
Sarah has performed across Central Alberta, showcasing her passion for acrobatics and aerial arts. As a coach, she is dedicated to teaching her students proper technique and musicality. She loves choreographing routines, watching her students shine on stage, and helping them conquer challenging new skills.
Allysa Johnson
Coach
Coach Allyssa brings nearly two decades of dance experience to the studio. She spent four years training at a studio in Grande Prairie before dedicating 15 years to Dance Magic. While she has extensive training in jazz, tap remains her absolute favorite style of dance.
Allyssa started her aerial journey in 2016, with silks quickly becoming her favourite apparatus. Combining her passions, she has performed as both a dancer and an aerialist multiple times across Central Alberta.
Allyssa worked as a social worker for eight years and is currently focusing on raising her family and helping manage her family's business.
Luke Solomon
Co-Owner
Marketer, photographer, and co-owner of RISE Aerial. As Jodie’s husband, Luke ensures that everything on the back end is running smoothly and efficiently. He also assists with administrative tasks, online marketing, and runs photoshoots from time to time!
